Welcome 2011

Welcome 2011 HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!  Good-bye 20010—Hello 2011 Now is the time to reflect on the lessons of the past year, and yet put the past in the past.  The past is over.  There is nothing you can do about it.  But today, and every day, is a chance to write in your book called Opportunity, and fill in the blank pages with your own words—of ideas, dreams, goals and emotions. ...

Well, Labor Day is upon us here in the US. Another opportunity to cook out, light sparklers and shoot off fireworks. I love 3 or 4-day weekends; and kids particularly love the days off from school. What I find these days is that holidays are just that—a chance to be out of school or parents home from work. Most kids I see don’t have a clue why they are off; they just know that they are off....

The sound of children laughing...

Kids are from Krypton; Parents are from Pluto Radio show update August 26: Did you ever hear a baby laugh, or a child giggle? Makes you smile, doesn’t it? A College Education

So says James Altucker, columnist for “DailyFinance”. He suggests that parents save the tuition money and have more to retire on, as well as being able to invest it for your kids. Or, you might want to give $20,000 to each of your kids to start 1-5 businesses; let them travel around the world; tell them to get a job and get real life experience; volunteer and see the less fortunate or...

track-meet

Kids Are From Krypton Parents Are From Pluto Radio update Aug. 19, 2010: Is school a mall, day care center or sporting event? The way you view your relationship with your kids’ school has a huge impact on your kids’ involvement, attitude and subsequently their education.
